A Jinny Beyer Galaxy of Stars - Quilted!

My customer drove all the way from Spruce Grove to bring me her beautiful quilt to quilt.  That's a 4 hour drive!  I'm very honoured.  She wanted it custom quilted - which is what I love to do!  Not much more to say other than take a look at the pix.

I've been trying to be better about tracking my time.  This one took about 35 hours.  I used 18 pre-wound bobbins, which works out to about 4279 m of thread (~ 4.3 km).

Three Finishes

Three quilts for Jean.  Quilted!

She left me the pattern for this one and it turns out its a pattern by Andrea Harris, one of my quilting colleagues from Calgary.

Andrea quilted hers with wavy lines so I started this one with wavy lines, but I didn't like the way it was going (not steady enough - Andrea must have a steadier hand than I do!) so I took out my initial 8 wavy lines and started again with Angela Walters "signature" design - although I have seen it in other books as well.  Much happier with this.

I will never take any prizes for my photography - I see the string from the lens cap got in the way and I don't have time to go out for more pix today.  Anyway - below is quilt number two.

I picked up some variegated Fabulux thread and I'm really happy with the way my machine handled it!

Finally this little beauty.

And the back - for a special boy!
